Xits

For PE sponsors and portfolio-company CFOs

Get a portfolio company ready to sell

Xits is building the platform that checks a company’s documents against what buyers will ask for, fixes the gaps, then opens the data room. A person approves every finding and every answer.

Market

Exits are backing up, and preparation helps

Private equity holds a large backlog of companies waiting to be sold, and the evidence points to preparation as the lever that matters: EY found the strongest results when it began 12 to 24 months before a sale, and Bain puts distributions at about 14% of net asset value in 2025, below 15% for the fourth year running. Buyers’ AI assistants can now connect to outside data through the Model Context Protocol, and data room providers have begun to ship connectors for it. That makes a room that bidders interrogate with their own AI a realistic direction, provided disclosure stays controlled and every answer is sourced.
